Community guidelines

Dispresso carries things people write to each other: Brews posts, forum threads, LFG requests, team pages, Pages, market listings and server listings. These are the rules for all of it, in plain words. The full legal version is the moderation policy.

The short list#

These come down, wherever they are posted:

• Anything sexual involving a minor, including drawings and text. No warning, the account is closed and it is reported.
• Harassment of a person, and telling somebody to hurt themselves.
• Adult content that is not marked as adult. Marking it is the whole of what makes it allowed.
• Scams, phishing, impersonating somebody, and advertising something you do not own.
• Anything illegal where we operate.

Everything else is left alone. We do not remove things for being rude, wrong or unpopular. A server you are in can hold you to a stricter line, and that is that server's own business.

Place by place#

Brews#

Post what you like: clips, screenshots, questions, art. Adult posts can only be made by age verified adults who turned that on, must be marked before they publish, and are never sent to Discord follow channels. Do not repost other people's work as yours, and do not post links whose only purpose is to sell.

Forums#

Forums are for questions and answers that should outlast a busy chat. Keep a thread on its topic, give the person who answered a reply, and use Report on anything that breaks the short list above. A forum owner can set their own stricter rules for their space, and moderate it.

Looking for a game#

Say what you are playing and when. An adult and somebody under 18 are never introduced to each other, so requests, teams and chats only ever hold one age group. Do not ask people for their age, address or social accounts, and do not use a team page to advertise something else.

The directory#

A listing has to describe the server truthfully, with a working invite. Adult servers are marked 18+. A server that uses a shared feature (the directory, cross server rooms, LFG, seeding) to push things onto everybody else loses that feature.

Pages, the Market and Work#

Pages are yours to style. Do not use one to impersonate somebody or send people to a scam. Market and Work listings must be things you are allowed to sell. Cheats, attack tools and drugs are not allowed, and sellers handle their own refunds.

18+ content#

• Dispresso is for people 13 and over, like Discord.
• We ask for your date of birth once. It is locked once saved.
• Publishing adult content needs a one time identity check on top of that. Seeing it needs you to be an adult who turned it on.
• Adult servers and avatars never appear on leaderboards for anybody who did not opt in.
• An adult game server listing cannot use seeding.

The full rule for people under 18 is on the under 18 policy.

How reports work#

1. 1
Press Report. Every request, team, listing, page, post and chat has one. Say what is wrong in a sentence.
2. 2
It goes to one staff queue wherever you pressed it. Reports about a minor are looked at first.
3. 3
A person decides. No automatic check closes an account. Most of the time the thing simply comes down. A repeat gets a part of the product closed, and the worst get the account suspended.
4. 4
You may not hear back. We do not tell a reporter what happened to the person they reported, because that would let people work out who reported them.

If you think we got it wrong#

Email support@dispresso.co from the address on your account, say what was removed and why you think it was wrong. A person reads it. If your account is restricted, the appeals page and the contact page still work. We do not overturn what a server did to you inside that server.
