List your server

Step by step: /bump, Auto setup, staff review, what gets approved, and what to do when it does not.

Listing puts your Discord server on the public directory at /servers, with its own page, tags and a Join button. It is free. The longer reference is Server directory; this page is the version you can follow once, top to bottom.

Before you start#

  • You need Manage Server on the Discord server you are listing.
  • Dispresso needs to be in that server (Add to Discord in the top bar).
  • The bot needs to be able to create an invite and send a message in one text channel. It uses the invite for the Join button.
  • If the server has adult content, it must be marked 18+ on the listing. Adult listings are shown only to signed in adults who chose to see them, and an unmarked one is taken down. See the community guidelines.

Steps#

  1. 1
Type /bump (or !bump) in any channel the bot can see.
  2. 2
The bot replies with a setup card. Press Auto setup. It creates a permanent invite, fills a short description from your server bio, and sends the listing to staff for review.
  3. 3
While it says Pending staff review, open the Server hub and polish it: name, a short blurb, a longer description, tags, icon and showcase images. You can edit while you wait. Bumping stays locked until approval.
  4. 4
When staff approve it you get a direct message, and your page is live at /servers/your-server-id. Run /bump again to appear under Recently Bumped.

What makes a listing get approved#

  • The description says what the server is actually for, in your own words.
  • The invite works and does not expire.
  • Tags match the server. Ten tags that are not true are worse than three that are.
  • No scams, no impersonation, nothing that is illegal, nothing sexual involving a minor.
  • Adult servers are marked 18+.

A rejection message says why. Fix that one thing and resubmit from the Server hub. If you think it was a mistake, write to us from the contact page.

After you are live#

  • Bump every 12 hours for free. It moves you up Recently Bumped and earns the server a Shot. How that works.
  • Plus or Pro can turn on auto-bump, so a server is bumped again each time its cooldown ends without you being there.
  • Link a game server to the listing if you also run one.
  • Want a forum for your members? Start one on the Dispresso forums and attach it to the server.

When something goes wrong#

What you seeWhat to do
The bot did not answer /bumpCheck it is in the server and can see the channel. Right after joining it only answers in #dispresso-bot until an admin has run /botdashboard or told it what to set up.
Auto setup says you need permissionPress it as somebody with Manage Server. Nobody else can submit a listing for the server.
Still pending after a day or twoNothing to do but wait. You can keep editing. If it is much longer, ask on the contact page.
RejectedRead the reason in the message, fix that, and resubmit from the Server hub.
The Join button says the invite is deadThe bot checks invites twice a day and replaces dead ones. You can also set your own invite in the Server hub.
