Birthdays

Birthdays are live for server admins who want daily announcements, day-of reward roles, and locked age verification. Members set their birthday once from their Dispresso account or the server's Check age panel, so birthday dates are not changed through casual Discord chat commands. make the 18+ role @Verified is the server's 18+ verified role, the one the adult gates (the 18+ room, adult feeds) look for before they open anything. What each age band does on the check, kicked, banned, jailed, timed out or let through, the roles each band hands out, and where the check panel lives are all set this way too, the same rows the dashboard's age gate page writes. Start with dispresso or mention it. It asks for anything it still needs, writes the same settings the dashboard writes, and the whole list of sentences is on Talk to Dispresso.

Setup#

Use /botdashboard and open Birthdays to pick an announcement channel, ping style, optional day-of birthday role, the role lists below, and enforcement actions for under-13, under-18, or adult accounts. You can also run /birthday setup from Discord after enabling the module.

Roles the age check hands out#

There are three separate lists, and each one can hold several roles. Roles granted to members who are 18 or over is the adult list, for 18+, ID verified, seller, or any other adult only role. Roles granted to members who are under 18 is the same idea for minors, so you can hand out a Minors role that keeps them out of adult channels. Roles granted to anyone who completes the check goes out in every band that passes, which is what lets the age check double as your member verification gate on join. Put your Member role there and new arrivals get it the moment they finish.

Two members never receive anything. Accounts recorded as under 13 get no roles at all, not even the completion roles, because that band exists to record that the check did not pass. Neither does anyone the enforcement actions just kicked, banned, jailed or timed out. Everything else is granted in one go, and any role sitting above the bot in your role list is reported back rather than silently skipped.

Server admins can post the verification panel with !bdaypanel. Members press Check age or run !bdayverify. If a birthday was entered wrong, users need to contact support or appeal with staff because the date is locked after it is set.
