Donations and the Supporter role

Dispresso is built by a small team. Some people want to help keep it going without buying anything, so there is a way to do that: a donation. It is completely optional and it unlocks nothing.

How it works#

1. 1
Open the donation galaxy on the Live page and press Donate.
2. 2
Pick a whole dollar amount. It starts at US$1 and goes up to US$500. Every dollar becomes one star.
3. 3
Pick a star style. Five dollars spawns five of that style in a small cluster.
4. 4
Optionally add a display name and a short message (80 characters). Both are shown publicly, so leave them empty if you would rather stay anonymous.
5. 5
Pay through Stripe Checkout. The stars appear once the payment goes through.

What to know#

• A donation is voluntary support. It is not a purchase, and it does not unlock features or perks.
• Names and messages cannot contain links, invites, mentions, slurs, swearing or adult content.
• We show the totals on the Live page, so what Dispresso has made is open to look at.
• Card details go to Stripe. Dispresso never sees them.

The Supporter role#

If you are in the Dispresso Support server when your donation goes through, the bot gives you the Supporter role there, and may post a thank-you with your display name (or Someone) and your message. It never pings anybody. If you are not in the server, nothing happens there and your stars still appear. Join from the contact page if you want the role.
