Self Glaze
Custom trigger-response phrases managed as their own module.
You write the line and Dispresso says it back. A phrase is a pair: the trigger somebody types, and the reply. Up to twenty five pairs per server, set from /botdashboard under Self Glaze, on the site, or by talking.
Or just tell the bot#
dispresso add a phrase: best bot -> i know

make a command called hype that says LETS GO {user}
remove the hype commandThe first five add, remove, list and set the match mode on the phrase pairs above. make a command called ... is the other kind: a custom command, a word with the prefix in front, which the bot also answers to as dispresso hype. Manage Server writes both kinds; anybody fires them. Start with dispresso or mention it. It asks for anything it still needs, writes the same settings the dashboard writes, and the whole list of sentences is on Talk to Dispresso.
How closely a trigger has to match#
One setting covers the whole list. Whole word is the default and is almost always what you want: a phrase on gg answers "gg" and "well played, gg" but not "giggle". Anywhere in the message matches a run of letters wherever it turns up, which is how you catch a word inside another one and also how you catch it by accident. Exact answers only a message that is the trigger and nothing else.
When two of your phrases could both match, the longer trigger wins. Put a phrase on gg and another on gg ez and someone typing "gg ez" gets the second one, whichever order you added them in.
Keeping it from becoming spam#
Each phrase has a cooldown, ten seconds unless you raise it, and it is counted per channel: a phrase that just fired in general is still ready in off-topic. A reply can never ping the server, so writing @everyone into one gets you the plain text and no mention. Replies are capped at 500 characters, triggers at 64, and a message longer than 2000 characters is not scanned at all.
