The platform

Server directory

Invite the bot, run /bump, go live on /servers, and find Discord Server Partners.

The public directory lives at /servers. Anyone can browse live listings, open a server page, and join. Getting your server listed takes a few minutes in Discord.

Looking for game hosts (Minecraft, FiveM, Rust, and more)? Open the /servers/games hub. Guides: Game servers, add a host, link Discord.

Want a place for your members to ask questions and keep answers that outlast a busy channel? Your server can have its own forum on the Dispresso forums: press Start a forum, attach it to your server, and it links back to your listing.

First time? List your server, step by step is the short version of this page, and Bumps and Shots in plain words explains what happens after you are live.

1. Invite the bot#

Use Add to Discord in the site nav and pick your server. Give the bot permission to create invites and send messages in at least one text channel. When it joins, it posts a short tip with dashboard and directory links.

2. Run /bump (first time = setup)#

In any channel the bot can see, run the slash command:

Copy and paste
/bump

Prefix form also works: !bump.

If the server is not listed yet, Dispresso replies with a setup card and three buttons:

  • Auto setup: creates a permanent invite, fills a short description from your Discord server bio (or a welcome line), and submits the listing for staff review.
  • Open dashboard: jumps to Server hub so you can edit tags, showcase images, and copy by hand.
  • Support server: opens Dispresso support if you get stuck.

You need Manage Server to press Auto setup.

3. What Auto setup does#

Example flow after you click Auto setup:

Copy and paste
1. Bot creates a permanent invite from a channel it can use
2. Builds listing copy from your Discord server description
3. Submits the listing for staff review
4. Setup message switches to "Pending staff review"
5. You get a DM when it is approved or rejected

While it is pending, you can still open the dashboard and polish tags, showcase media, and branding. Bumping stays locked until approval.

4. Edit the listing on the site#

Open /dashboard/servers, pick the server, then Edit listing. Set the name, short blurb, long description, tags, icon, invite, and showcase. Live listings also show member count when the bot is connected.

5. After approval#

Your public page is /servers/{id}. Run /bump again (or use the bump button on the site) to refresh Recently Bumped. Server Boost and Elite unlock card themes and polish; Elite also unlocks a vanity URL so the page is not stuck on the raw id.

The Join button stays alive on its own. If your server changes its Discord vanity, the bot moves the listing to the new one the moment Discord tells it; and twice a day it checks every listing's invite and replaces any that Discord no longer answers, with your vanity if you have one or a fresh permanent invite if not. Neither puts the listing back under review.

Not having to remember to bump#

!ab on turns auto-bump on for a Plus or Pro account: every server you have bumped gets bumped again each time its cooldown runs out, without you being there. !ab notify off keeps that running but stops the DM each time, which is the setting most people actually want. !br is the other half: reminder DMs when a cooldown is up, for bumping by hand. /directory autobump and /directory reminders are the slash doors.

Pin a live Discord listing#

Want a listed Discord server sitting in a channel with its name, member count, tags, and a Join button? Staff with Manage Server can run /discordserver pin or !discordserver pin. Search by name, invite, or listing id, and pick a channel if you want. The card stays after a restart and refreshes on the same clock as game-server cards. /discordserver list and /discordserver remove manage the cards. Same words as !discordserver list and !discordserver remove.

The commands#

  • /botdashboard: open server setup, modules, command access, and channel controls.
  • /server home: the same switches as one slash command, with a subcommand for each: welcome, logging, counting, suggestions, autopurge, prefix, botupdates and premium. Each opens the setup page for that one thing, so you can go straight there instead of hunting through the dashboard.
  • !setprefix ?: change this server's chat command prefix. Open /botdashboard and Bot Settings to change it on the site.
  • !botupdates #channel: where what is new in the bot gets posted, a few times a month at most. Dispresso follows its updates channel into yours, the same way Discord's announcement following works, so nothing else is ever sent there. It is on from the start: with no channel picked the bot safely chooses a private channel named for moderators, staff, or admins. If there is no safe match, it sends nothing until you pick one here or under Bot Settings on the site. !botupdates off stops it.
  • /discordserver pin or !discordserver pin: pin a listed Discord server as a live card in a channel.
  • /bump: bump your listing, or set it up the first time.
  • /bumpstats: your listing's traffic card.
  • /shots: your Shots balance.
  • /profile: your profile card and page link.
  • /giveaway start: create a normal timed giveaway.
  • /giveaway wheel: create a wheel giveaway with optional entry rules.
  • /servers, /pages, /commands: open those pages on the site.
  • /rooms crossserverrooms, /rooms enable, /rooms disable: open and manage room relay features.
  • /leaderboard, /stats overview, /casino wheelspin: open leaderboards, stats, and a quick picker wheel.
  • /store: buy Shots, Featured, Plus, and Pro through Discord.
  • /directory panel #channel (or !directorypanel): post a permanent panel with three buttons, Browse Discord servers, Browse game servers and Servers needing players. They open the directories on the site with every filter available there. A visitor without an adult age on their Dispresso profile only ever sees SFW servers; a verified 18+ member can switch the adult directory on for themselves. The buttons keep working after the bot restarts. Manage Server.
  • /gbump and /rseed: bump the game server this Discord server claimed, or ask the seeding network for players right now. See Server seeding.
  • /help: list every command you can run.

Full command list on the site: /commands.

Discord Server Partners#

Looking for other Discord servers to cross-promote with? Open /servers?browse=partners. Turn on Seeking partners in listing studio (or run /partners home in Discord), set a promo channel, then browse Seeking and hit Partner on a card. You can partner two servers you manage with each other. That activates right away with no DM back-and-forth.

Partner cards use the same Live Listing card as Discovery. After both sides accept in DMs, each promo channel gets the other server's listing card right away, then again every 24 hours.

  • /partners home: seeking toggle, promo channel, Partner Manager role, browse matches, my partners.
  • /partners list: list or end active partnerships.

Partnering is a job you can hand to somebody without handing them the server. Name a Partner Manager role in studio or under /partners home Setup, then !addpm @member gives it out and !removepm @member takes it back. Both take several members at once, and /directory addpm and /directory removepm do the same from the slash side.

Mass partnerships#

A partner ad network run from Discord. Your server names a channel, writes up to ten text ads, and sets how often they go out (one to 168 hours, six by default). On that schedule the next ad in your rotation posts into the channel of every other server in the network, and theirs post into yours. A server without the bot drops out, because it cannot be reached. It rides the Partners switch, so Partners has to be on.

Copy and paste
!mass setup #partners join the network and name the inbox
!mass add <text> write an ad; invites are fine
!mass ads your ads and when each last went out
!mass remove <n> delete one
!mass schedule <hours> how often yours go out, 1 to 168
!mass preview your next ad exactly as partners will see it
!mass send put your next ad out now
!mass manager @role let a role run this without Manage Server
!mass leave stop ads arriving, and stop yours going out

Reviews#

Signed-in members of your Discord server can leave a star rating (1 to 7) and a short review on the listing page. That helps people decide before they join.

Want the homepage carousel or the top of Featured? Buy a Featured boost (24h, 7 days, or 30 days). Checkout does not pick a server. After you buy, reopen the shots modal and apply the boost to a live listing you manage. Details: Bumps & Dispresso Shots.

The Server Network#

Separate from Partners and mass partnerships, the Server Network is a small group of servers the Dispresso team backs directly. It is invite only: servers do not apply, the team adds them. A member gets sponsored placement in the directory, a free Custom Bot Instance, Server Elite for the server and Dispresso Pro for its owner, and the other members' ads are posted into its own network channel. An 18+ server's ad only reaches other 18+ members. Every current member is listed on dispresso.co/network.

Dispresso Bot#

Dispresso Bot does Welcome, Ping on Join, Partners and free /bump. Pitch page: /bot. Docs: Dispresso Bot.
