Chat Commands
Custom commands you make by talking or on the dashboard, plus snipe, QOTD, AFK, safe search, translation and other chat utilities.
The small stuff: the one-line commands people type mid conversation without thinking about them. Nothing here needs setting up, and /fun setup is where you turn off the ones you would rather your server did not have.
Or just tell the bot#
dispresso snipe
dispresso what time is it
dispresso whats this guys pfp (as a reply)
dispresso who owns this server
dispresso who is staff
dispresso pick pizza or tacos
dispresso roll a d20
dispresso 8ball will it rain
dispresso hug that user (as a reply)
turn off the small commandsEvery one of these is the command below said out loud, run as you. The last is the switch for the small commands as a group. Your own words work too: say when someone says shutup reply with and a gif link, and from then on dispresso shutup says it, as does the word with the prefix in front. Start with dispresso or mention it. It asks for anything it still needs, writes the same settings the dashboard writes, and the whole list of sentences is on Talk to Dispresso.

Custom commands, made by talking#
Or just tell the bot#
make a command called hype that says LETS GO {user}
when someone says shutup reply with (a gif link)
remove the hype command
show me my custom commandsOnce a command exists, saying it after the bot's own name, dispresso shutup, fires it the same as typing it with the prefix, and as a reply, dispresso tell this guy to shut up sends it straight at the person you replied to. The same list is on the site at /dashboard/<your server>/custom-commands, and in the panel under /botdashboard โ Bot Branding โ Custom commands. All three write the same rows. Start with dispresso or mention it. It asks for anything it still needs, writes the same settings the dashboard writes, and the whole list of sentences is on Talk to Dispresso.
The rest of it#
!fun lists everything in this group, and each one answers to its bare name as well as to !fun <name>, so !roll and !fun roll are the same command. Every one has a /fun path too.
!8ball <question> one of twenty answers, and it means none of them
!roll 2d6+3 dice. !roll, !roll d20, or just a number of sides
!choose a | b | c a tie-breaker, split on | or commas
!avatar [member] somebody's avatar, full size. Also !pfp
!ping how far away Discord is
!afk [reason] anybody who pings you is told where you went!rps lives here too but has more to it than a line, including betting: it is on the Games & Gangs page.
Translate#
Three ways in, one answer: a card under the message with the flag and the language as its title, the translation as its body, and who asked in the footer. It is on in every server from the day the bot arrives, because a flag reaction and a reply saying a language are explicit asks and nobody gets a card they did not want. The first time it answers in a server, the bot tells its staff how to switch it off, once: a line in the log channel when logging is set up, otherwise one extra sentence under that first card. It never posts a message of its own about it.
Turning it off. Staff can just say it: dispresso turn off the translator (or stop translating, no more translations) and dispresso turn translation back on. Keep it out of a channel with dispresso don't translate in #general, keep it to one with dispresso translate only in #international, and switch one trigger off with dispresso turn off flag translations or dispresso only translate replies. Any member can say dispresso don't translate my messages, and nobody can translate their messages in that server until they say dispresso you can translate me again. Ask dispresso is the translator on to hear what it does in your server right now. The same switches are on the Translate page of the dashboard and in /botdashboard.
React with a flag. Put ๐ฌ๐ง or ๐บ๐ธ on a message and it comes back in English, ๐ช๐ธ for Spanish, ๐ฉ๐ช for German, ๐ฏ๐ต for Japanese, and so on through about forty languages. One card per message per language: ten people reacting ๐ฌ๐ง make one reply, and a ๐ช๐ธ beside it makes its own.
Reply with the language. Reply to a message with nothing but english, spanish, espaรฑol, ๆฅๆฌ่ช, a code like fr, a flag, or to spanish. translate on its own means English. Anything longer than a language is just a message and the bot stays quiet.
Or type it. !translate spanish hello there translates your own words; !translate spanish as a reply translates the message you replied to. !tr is the short form and /fun translate is the slash door, with the language list as autocomplete. All three work in the bot's DMs too.
