Economy

Server currency, exchange, daily rewards, work shifts, wallets, and bank transfers.

You hold two balances. The Server Wallet is your server's own money: it is named, priced and capped by the people running the server, and it means nothing in the server next door. The Bank holds Dispresso Coins and follows you everywhere, which is why anything that moves Wallet coins into it is rate-limited and taxed. !bal shows both.

Or just tell the bot#

Say it in chat
turn on economy
enable robbing
dispresso call our currency coffee beans
dispresso use 🫘 as the currency emoji
dispresso remove nitro from the shop
dispresso make nitro cost 3000
dispresso set my job to barista
make me a fishing game for my economy with a shop
make it so users can use server currency to purchase Discord Nitro

Renaming the currency, changing its emoji, dropping or repricing a shop item, and picking or clearing your job are all said this way. For members it is the command said out loud: dispresso what's my balance, dispresso claim my daily, dispresso who is the richest and dispresso pay @Dom 500 run as the person who said them. Start with dispresso or mention it. It asks for anything it still needs, writes the same settings the dashboard writes, and the whole list of sentences is on Talk to Dispresso.

Claims#

!daily pays into both pockets every twenty two hours. The Wallet half is whatever your server set. The Bank half starts at 1,000 and grows by 500 for each day you keep the streak, up to 5,000, and the streak breaks if you leave it more than thirty six hours, so a daily claimed a few hours late is fine and one skipped outright is not. !weekly and !monthly are flat Bank claims with no streak attached.

Then there are the long ones, which are mostly a joke about the wait. !yearly pays 60,000 Bank coins once every 365 days, !decadely 120,000 once every ten years, !centuryly 250,000 once a century and !milleniumly 500,000 once every thousand years, so in practice each one is a single claim. Each also pays your Server Wallet a multiple of that server's own monthly amount, so a server that runs a small economy gets a small payout here too. The real spellings work as well: !annually, !millennium and !millenniumly all land on the same claim, and the slash forms are /eco yearly, /eco decadely, /eco centuryly and /eco millenniumly.

Working#

!work is a shift with a minigame inside it, on a cooldown your server picks. /work job locks you to one job instead of taking a random one, and !workhistory is your recent shifts and your streak. The minigames also answer to their own words, !beanhunt, !coffeebrewery, !mathcheck and the rest: those pay less, and you can play them as often as you like without spending your shift.

Economy games by talking#

dispresso make me a fishing game for my economy with a shop builds one of four games: fishing, mining, farming or hunting, each with its own command word, like !fish. Playing pays server currency on a cooldown your server picks, one try in six comes back empty, and each game sells three tools in the server shop that multiply what the next catch is worth.

Sending coins#

!pay @member 100 moves Wallet coins and takes 2% on the way, or 5% if you pay from the Bank. A Wallet payment is capped at 100,000 at a time and 500,000 a day; from the Bank it is 25,000 and 100,000. Your Discord account has to be at least a day old and you have to have been in the server a day before you can send anything at all.

Wallet drops#

!drop 500 (/eco drop) puts your own Server Wallet coins in the channel for grabs. The amount leaves your Wallet the moment you post it, the first other member to click claims the lot, and you cannot claim your own drop. A drop nobody claims before it expires, or one that fails to post at all, is refunded.

The rate between the two is not fixed#

!deposit turns Wallet coins into Bank coins and !withdraw goes back the other way, both through the Trading Desk at !tradingdesk. What you get is not only the rate your server set: it moves with how much currency your server has put into circulation compared with every other server, so a server that mints fast watches its coins buy less Bank. /eco markets is the live board of those rates across every server that opted in.

A server can close the exchange entirely, and then deposits and withdrawals are refused with a line saying so. Wallet coins still work normally inside that server; they just do not leave it.

Playing from the bot's DMs#

A daily, a shift and a Wallet all belong to a server, so running one privately runs it against your home server, a server you share with the bot. Claiming /daily in the DM takes the same slot as claiming it there, so you cannot have both. /eco server shows which server that is and changes it.

Commands#

Slash commands are the canonical way to play; the ! spelling is an alias

Both spellings run the same code and show the same answer. The slash form lives under a group where there are many verbs, and a group opens its menu at its home: type /zoo home, /eco home or /gang home. A standalone command opens its home when you leave the argument off, the way bare /zoobattle does. Here: !bal is /balance, !dep is /bank deposit, !work is /work shift, !tradingdesk is /eco desk. The commands page shows the pair on every row.

Copy and paste
!bal / !balance /balance both balances at once
!bank /bank home the Bank that follows you
!wallet /bank wallet your Server Wallet beside it
!deposit / !withdraw /bank deposit, /bank withdraw
!daily / !weekly / !monthly /daily, /weekly, /monthly
!yearly / !decadely /eco yearly, /eco decadely
!centuryly / !milleniumly /eco centuryly, /eco millenniumly
!work / !workhistory /work shift, /work history
!pay @member 100 /pay Wallet by default, Bank if you pick it
!tradingdesk /eco desk set the exchange going
!globaltop /bank globaltop the richest Banks anywhere
!top /leaderboard the richest Server Wallets here, the same paged board
!business /business home build and run a works
/eco home balances, streaks and what to do next
/eco markets live Wallet to Bank rates by server
/leaderboard every board: wallet, bank, messages, voice and more

Name your currency, pick its emoji, set the daily amount, the range a shift pays, the balance cap and whether the exchange is open from /botdashboard under Economy. The server shop spends the same Wallet, and has a page of its own.
